Bloggers in Tamil - Part I
Tamil - My mother Tongue - A language spoken by South Indian state Tamil Nadu
At present my everyday task is to browse blogs for atleast 2hrs a day, in my dial-up connection which has maximum speed of 46kbps. My favorite blogs were now restricted to Tamil blogs. I was really amazed by the articles these people write in their blogs. One interesting blog decadesago.blogspot.com by an woman was intersting with her stories of early age.
One important thing I notice in these Tamil bloggers is, most of them are well settled in their life and who are in countries other than India. Many Tamil-eelam (Tamilians in Srilanka) people are found in these blogspot. Their accent mesmerises me. I have a doubt now people like me (I'm a student) can't bring up a blog?.
I'll come up with my second part soon

Delay in my Postings
I was finding difficulty in choosing a topic to publish here. As I'm new to this blog world, I think it will take time to cope with this world people. Another important thing I have started a blog in my mother tongue.(http://manapathivu.blogspot.com) This was the main reason for my delay. I have suffered a lot in bringing my language blog. It also helped me a lot to learn something technical. Now I'm familiar with UNICODE and how to publish different languages blog(other than english).

Blog Maniac
These days I'm almost browsing daily irrespective of my tight schedule!. I have tons of work on my door step. My project review is on this week. But I keep away my work and started blogging. I daily see my blog to see any comments on them(this is too much to expect as the blog started only few weeks ago. My blog is not still indexed in Google's search) . Ok to see my page on theweb itself is a thrill. I'm becoming Blog Maniac if I had understood the meaning of the word 'maniac').
Oh I see there are many like me!.

The reason for this Blog
Everyone should have guessed, its 'Feeling of Importance'. Then for what reason one spends a lot of his time in publishing an open diary?.
But on seeing some of the fellow bloggers I'm very much inspired to write about the things I feel good and to be told to others. Some humanist thoughts - I'm also on the way to the better human. Some books which I feel worthy to read and the comment about the books.
I'm sure about the second statement. You can get a lot of information about books on TAMIL. On the part of english books, I have started reading some books and try my best.

Am I a Femenist?
Last week when I was returning from my college canteen with my classmates I was asked by my classmate to look at a girl driving a bike. That bike was a huge one and contains powerful engine. I had myself struggled a lot to drive and stabilise the bike. On seeing that scene I become very irritated as if that girl gave me huge blow and spat on my face. I felt that these things should not be done by women and the huge men are only capable of doing it.But I say myself as 'FEMENIST' to my friends.
This what happens to many of the Indian mindest. They talk lot about women liberation and their equality, but it is only in their concious level. Something should be told, even if it exists in sub-concious level. See I'm also a culprit among this sort of humans. I don't know about fellow humans in other countries. Here in India I find a lot of bull-shits like me. I talk and talk about their equality with men but I'm having the same hatred and jealous in my inner mind. There are many incidents like this happen in my everyday life but this one happened recently and by putting this into public I blame myself and put my head down in guilt.I will try to be true Femenist.
Femenist - A feminist is a person who believes that women deserves equal respect and treatment even in sub-concious level.

Aanandha Vikatan
Iam great fan of this weekly Tamil(A language spoken by a state in southern part of India. The state is called Tamil Nadu. 'Nadu' means Country. A country where Tamilians live) magazine. Happiness in Tamil is 'Aanandham' and 'Vikatan' is Amuser. Yes the magazine is amusing. Though the magazine has its own masala(in India masala means a thing which is made with all ingredients to satisfy everyone) it is unique in its style with some classic articles.
The articles I love in the magazine are "Kattrathum Petrathum", "Kathavilasam", "Aungum Ingum", "Vedi Vedi Velu Vadivelu", "Madan's Pakkam" and "Tabu Sankar's Pakkam".
"Kattrathum Petrathum" is by a famous writer of Tamil nadu Mr.Sujatha. He has worked in India's prestigious electronics corporate Bharath Electronics Limited (BEL). His articles are interwined with comedy and science. I really enjoy his style and the way he 'preaches' science through them. Learnt things and Obtained things is the crude translation of the title of the article. (Sorry I'm not well versed with English)
Most of the writers in Tamil to my knowledge had suffered a lot before become popular. Their sufferings and experience doesn't go waste , they are blooming as their stories and articles. This man Mr.S.Ramakrishnan is of this kind. His articles are very touching and most of them were real events. I like to read articles which contains reality in them. The Address of the Story or The orgin of Story - Kathavilasam
Angum Ingum is litereally means Here and There. This article for instance take a school going boy one in Urban area and another in rural area and compare their life style from morning till evening.
Vedi Vedi Velu Vadivelu is light hearted article about a famous comedian Vadivelu from Tamil nadu. I'm not sure whether this article is written by him in a way that pleases the audience. But his language(same tamil with different accent) and his village nature is liked by me.
Madans' Q&A and Tabu sankar's Romance pages are mesmerising.
